What is IELTS?

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is a standardized test designed to evaluate the language proficiency of individuals aspiring to study or work in English-speaking environments.

This test assesses your language skills comprehensively and provides a measure of your language proficiency. Universities utilize IELTS scores to determine admission eligibility.

When can I take IELTS?

IELTS is administered up to four times a month in over 125 countries, typically on Saturdays or Thursdays. You can schedule your test date based on seat availability, while considering your level of preparedness. This is a crucial factor in selecting the ideal test date.

What is the test format?

There are two modules to choose from: Academic and General Training.

The Academic module for candidates planning to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies or seeking professional registration.

TheGeneral Training is intended for individuals aiming to migrate to English-speaking countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the UK) or pursue studies or training below degree level.

What is the difference between Academic Module and General Training module?

Both modules assess all four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The Listening and Speaking tests are the same for both modules, while the Reading and Writing tests differ.

The Listening, Reading, and Writing tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks between the written components. The Speaking test can be taken up to seven days before or after the other three tests.
